Our 2015 Free Printable Vintage Calendars and Craft Hoarders DT Samples and Challenge!

Hi Everyone, I have a bunch of things today with our New Free 2015 Printable Calendars in 2 styles, plus a link to the amazing DT samples on the Craft Hoarders Challenge we sponsored and our Sept Linky Winner. I will be back with my Wedding - Part 2 photos and tips tomorrow as there is too much to squeeze in here.

We update our Free Calendars every year and many people simply glue new mini calender months over a previous calendar they made.  This is our 2015 Calendar Printable on white so you can copy it on any light color paper. For personal use only please. If you want the 2014 Calendar you can get them here in this post and also see many more inspiring calendar samples here!

This style is designed to go with our Calendar Scraps on clearance for .99 cents as the calendar is outdated but the images are perfect for creating a seasonal vintage image calendar or cards.

People also use these mini calendars for 'Year at a Glance Calendars', in journals or birthday and seasonal cards.  Here's a Year at a Glance Digital Tutorial I did and you can see other calendar samples with this link.

We also had a Design Team Calendar Challenge last January and the ladies created some beautiful calendars with great Tutorials showing what they did!

We also have last years Free Printable Blank Art Calendar. Okay, maybe the flowers won't work for winter but I'm going to dig around for Spring, Fall and Winter designs to incorporate into the left side of this design because look at these pretty samples 3 of our our DT ladies made!

The Craft Hoarders Challenge is hosted by Gloria Stengel, who we are also fortunate to have on our Design Team.  Gloria has great talent and has also put together an amazing Design Team of ladies who create samples and we were a sponsor for their current #16 Challenge and you have to check out all of the amazing samples by the DT ladies and YOU can also enter the Challenge and win a $30.00 Gift Certificate from Lindy's Stamp Gang! We also sponsored their #15 Pretty Flower Challenge earlier this month. There are links to each DT Ladies blog with all the details.

I also wanted to show you this adorable Halloween card that DT Member Shantaie Fowler created using our Halloween CD 4. The way she colored the pumpkin makes him sort of glow.

Our lucky Sept random.org winner for the $50.00 Gift certificate was # 4 EMA-gination who entered a cool Halloween easel card but all of the entries were really fantastic and everyone else won a $6.00 Gift Card and received our new Free Eiffel Tower Printable, which anyone can add free to their cart when they place an order until Oct 1/14 and we still have the Super Sale Packs over 70% off for $19.95 plus $4.95 shipping.

I will be back tomorrow with the Wedding Photos and Tips post but I have to tell you it's all very practical and not crafty as my youngest Chelsea is not really into crafty or vintage and prefers modern but it was an amazing day! I love this photo of her with her love and groom Anthony and best friends; sisters Holly and Katie.

I would love to see if you create anything with our free Calendar Printables!

Wedding Part 1 - Showers, Halloween Projects, Last Day for Linky Party!

Hi Everyone,

It's Sandy and I'm back from my time off and have a bunch of things to share with you! Big thanks to DT Leader Kathy Clement who has been a huge help posting here on the Blog for me! I said I would post photos and a few tips we learned planning my daughter Chelsea's wedding and realized I needed to share some photos of her bridal shower and 2 showers I attended this summer. I also have a new Free Gift when you place an order until Oct 1/14.

I will post Part 2 with wedding photos tomorrow, plus our new 2015 Free Calendar and Linky Party Winner. I also have some great Halloween projects to show you and a reminder that today is the last day to enter our Sept Linky Party!

Here some photos of the bridal shower Chelsea's bridesmaid's threw for her. They painted teacups they got at Ikea with gold paint pens and set up a fun photo booth.

Two of my daughters, Holly and Chelsea with flower girl nieces.  Bridesmaid Kristy created this great backdrop with a romantic wording she wrote out.

They did a real glamour style decor with lots of sparkly gold and an amazing lunch spread!

I helped my oldest daughter Katie, the maid of honer at her friends wedding, decorate for her a 'Evening in Paris Dinner Stagette Party' she hosted at our house. The bride, a French teacher who loves Paris much preferred this over going bar hopping. It proves you don't have to be conventional and you can create a theme that suits the bride best.

I printed a bunch of old french images (I need to create a French digital collection) and used our old Eiffel tower pattern and printed it on white card stock to make 6 Eiffel towers for the table decor.  They also had a candy bar and we decorated the bags with French Label Stickers. **NOTE: I made our Eiffel Tower Pattern our Free Gift until Oct 1/14 and then it will be a $1.99 download. So until Oct 1, you can add it free to your cart if placing an order.

Here's what the Eiffel Tower Pattern looks like and you just print 2 copies on card stock.

Here's a shot of the dinner table laid out just before the girls all sat down.

Close up of one of the Eiffel towers.

I also attended a fun Alice in Wonderland theme Bridal Shower this summer that my dear friend Debi (mother of the groom) threw. She is very creative and look at this cute Alice croquet set she made!

A friend of the bride is an amazing baker and made this whimsical cake and all the cookies. I love the tea cup on the cake

There was a tea party theme and all sorts of fun decor.  If you missed the other Alice Party I posted about you can see it here.

The sugar was colored, there were little bottles of "Drink Me Punch' and a cool mix of eclectic decor with miss matched chairs, tea cups.

These cake pops were yummy but I also loved the presentation

This was such a fun idea to use chalk paints to draw Alice's dress on a mirror they set up in the bathroom. Our daughter Chelsea couldn't resist taking a photo with her cell phone.

Okay, now I have some great Halloween projects to show you like this cool Tutorial by DT Member Sheila Rumney using the Shape Tool in Photoshop Elements.

How about this fun Shutter Halloween card by DT Leader Kathy Clement, she created using our Halloween Scraps and CD 4 Creating With Vintage Halloween.

DT Member Darelene Pavlick used our Halloween CD to create this fun Halloween card and gift boxes for a couple of her fave trick or treater's.  You also have to check out the cute School time Card Darlene made!

DT Member Diane Hoover made some adorable Halloween Spoolies using the Halloween CD and you can see the others on Diane's Blog.

DT Member Shantaie Caudell Fowler made an adorable Halloween card you can see here but I had to show you this poppy card she just made with our Digital Poppy Stamp set!  I love how she colored it and used her Cameo Silhouette to create a cut file.

I will be back tomorrow with wedding photos, plus our new 2015 Free Calendars and to announce the Winner of our Sept Linky Party and you have until 12 midnight tonight that you can still enter!

Wishing you joy and creativity

Fall/Halloween Themed September Linky Party and Guest Designer

Now, let's get this Linky Party going!  We are happy to have another wonderful Guest Designer this month.  Glenda Brooks of Magpie's Corner is our honored guest in this September Linky Party.  Glenda has been on various design teams, and is a recent addition to our Linky parties.  She has fallen in love with the vintage style of Crafty Secrets, and has added her amazing talent for card making and hand made flowers to this sweet Halloween card that uses our Digital Halloween Printables.  She has a tutorial for making those gorgeous flowers, and for adding dimension to that wonderful wrought iron fence.

You all know how much I love fall flowers, so I created an 8x10 canvas that combined papers from our Digital Vintage Halloween Jumbo Download with images from our Digital Garden Memories Stamps and Digital Garden Printables.  I was so inspired while working with these images that I wrote a poem about the beautiful fall asters I made to go with the project.  My TUTORIAL is on stamping onto printed paper.

Michele Kovack is shaking things up with a complete tutorial for making this darling Halloween Shaker card.  She used our Vintage Halloween Creative Scraps as the base for her project. I love the orange and black sequins peeking through! So fun!

DT Member Shelia Rumney created a great digital Halloween layout using our Creating with Vintage Halloween CD 4.  Her tutorial will show you step by step how to layer these papers and images.

If you're looking for a cute idea for Halloween treat bags, you'll want to be sure to check out Darlene Pavlick's project!  She also used our fabulous Halloween CD #4 which is loaded with yummy papers, images, Bingo cards and ephemera.  Just look how adorable these little bags turned out!

Elizabeth Lincoln has a tutorial for making this amazing dimensional fancy fold card. She also used the Halloween CD.  You can see how very versatile this CD is, and how many different looks you can create when using it.

Also going with a Fall theme, Gloria Stengel has created a delightful gift ensemble using our Vintage Patterns and Vintage Typography CD's.  She also used our Digital Radiant papers and our Down on the Farm and Farm Chicks Art Stamps to assemble this wonderful set.  Her tutorial will guide you through the process of making the box and envelopes.  She'll also share tips for creating a coordinated gift giving set and Gloria also runs the Craft Hoarders Challenge which Crafty Secrets is sponsoring #15 now and again on Sept 15th.

I can't wait to share Diane Hover's frightfully fabulous altered clock project with you!  It is so imaginative, so FUN and absolutely beautiful.  Diane used our Halloween CD and put her creativity cap on for sure!  Take a look at this wonderful project! Visit her blog for a complete tutorial.

Melody Clement  has a great tutorial on building a Halloween pizza box to hold special treats. She put our Halloween CD to good use, combining papers, ephemera, borders and Bingo cards in making this "Not too spooky"  treat box.

I've saved DT member Shantaie Caudill-Fowler's beautiful place setting for last.  Burlap is so trendy right now, and she has used it beautifully here.   Shantaie used our gorgeous digital Thanksgiving Collection to create this little silverware pouch that would also serve as a take home gift for your holiday parties.

Wow!  That's a whole lotta inspiration!  I bet your fingers are itching to get busy creating with your own Crafty Secrets goodiesWell, that's the whole idea!  Go visit each design team member's blog for inspiration, then create a NEW project that features Crafty Secrets product and link it up here before midnight PT, Sunday, September 14th 2014. You need not follow the Halloween/Fall theme to play along, but it's always fun if you do.  The design team will be visiting your lovely blogs and then one of you will be randomly selected to win a $50 gift card in our online store (sorry the gift card can't be used on the Sale Packs).  Each participant will receive a code for a $6 credit at the store, so everybody wins!  The winner will be announced right here on Wednesday, September 17th.  If you don't have any Crafty Secrets goodies, just look in the sidebar of this blog where you'll find a huge list of free downloads so everybody can play along.

I can't wait to see what you make!

Until next time, on behalf of Sandy (who will be the beautiful mother of the bride this coming Saturday, September 6th!) ....

I wish you joy and creativity,
